How to make Cream Cheese filled penguins

Before I Repost the directions for cream cheese filled penguins, I want to show you a picture of my Daughters cat.    If this cat sees an empty box, basket....whatever....she has to squeeze her fat butt into it.

And Now for the the Penguin Appetizer

Cut a slit into each jumbo olive. I make it in the shape of a V...or at least I try to make a V
Slice carrots into coins and cut a V out of each coin. That becomes the penguins feet.

I use a cake decorator to fill each jumbo olive with cream cheese. You can put spices into the cream cheese to give it more flavor if you want. This time I used a little dry onion soup mix.

For the head of the penguin, use small olives. The beak is another carrot pushed into the hole where they have taken out the olive pit. I cut the carrot thin and make a point on it for the beak.
To finish off the penguins you can use fancy or regular toothpicks. Insert toothpick through the head, push through body (filled jumbo olive) and then insert into one of the carrots. The carrot is what will make it stand.

And here they are .... a parade of penguins

Girls Craft Night In

I had been at my Daughters for about 5 days.  While I was in Leeper, good friends of hers invited us to do crafts using fresh greens.  I can tell you....we had a great time.

Look at all the great greens we had to choose from.  Jeff and Nancy sure had to work hard to make sure we had a great choice.   This picture was after we had been working for hours.

Hi Jeff!!!  Thanks for all you did to make sure we had a lot of greens.

And there is Nancy....with her JUGS!!!  Thanks Nancy, I had a Great time!!!

My Daughter is hard at work making a wreath.  Wouldn't you know....I never got pictures of the finshed wreath and it was beautiful when it was finished.

Surprise!!!  Took 2 pictures of you.  LOL

Below are just random photos of the rest of the girls doing their thing.

Thanks Nancy and Jeff for all the hard work you had to do to get ready for us to make our beatiful wreaths, pots......and whatever else we wanted to make.

Now ~  I did take pictures of our next project so be thinking of what you want to do with them.  I have 4 of these total...... I also have some glass rocks to use, other than that you will need to decide what you want to do.

Wow!!!  I don't know what I did to make that so big....It  measures about  12 inches Wide, 11 1/2 inches High and 8 inches deep.

Nancy and Krista,....Decide who else you want to invite and we can have it here and work on it in my basement or if Krista wants, she can have it at her house.  Let me know.

Christmas Trees at Kraynaks ~ Blue Monday

We have this home and garden store called Kraynaks , every year from September to Christmas Eve they open what they call Santa's Christmasland. It is free to see all the trees and decorations they have set up. There is tree, after tree, after tree..etc. Some of the decorations date back to the 1950's.

I happened to find a couple of trees with blue decorations.

If you live around Hermitage, Pennsylvania, you should make it a point to check this out.
